REVIEW: Of All the Reindeer-Shaped Mousse Treats in Disney World…THIS Is Our Favorite

Disney World might be running a little low on some merchandise items, but they’re certainly not lacking in holiday treat options!

We’ve already had a tasty Christmas Cookie Sundae, a kind of sad Peppermint Churro, and a lemon-y Sugar Cookie Snowman. Now we’re heading over to Disney’s Riviera Resort to try the latest holiday confection! It might give you déjà vu when you hear the name…but we promise this one’s different.

You’ve had the Reindeer Mousse in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, the Peppermint Mousse at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort, and the Peppermint Cream Cheese Mousse in Disney’s Animal Kingdom. But are you ready for the reindeer-shaped Chocolate Peppermint Mousse at Disney’s Riviera Resort? (It kind of seems like the chefs at Disney World are running out of holiday treat ideas….)

Le Petit Cafe

We found this treat at the Riviera’s Le Petit Cafe for $5.99. Of all the peppermint mousse treats (whether they’re shaped like reindeer or not) this one might be our favorite. We LOVED it!

Reindeer Peppermint Mousse

The treats are shaped like reindeer with bright red noses, so surely they’re all named Rudolph! They’re made of a dark chocolate mousse with a peppermint mousse inside. The mousse is sitting on top of a brownie, and it’s decorated with dark chocolate antlers and a red nose made of white chocolate.

So cute!

We thought the mousse was delicious and flavorful, and the texture was super light. The peppermint mousse was a little more subtle, and it paired really well with the slightly bitter flavor from the dark chocolate.

He’s adorable

The mousse was great, but we really just wanted a full pan of the brownies. That brownie was moist, fudge-y, and pure decadence. Seriously, we can’t stop thinking about it. Kids are dreaming of sugar plums on Christmas Eve — we’ll be dreaming of that brownie.

The brownie was *chef’s kiss*

The only criticism we can think of is that it melts pretty quickly if you take it outside in the sun. But if you’re not taking 1,000 pictures of your treat like we do, it probably won’t last long enough to melt because it’s just that delicious.

There’s the mousse inside!

If you’re a big dark chocolate and peppermint fan, this is a match made in heaven for you. You’ll have to hurry to grab it, though, because it’s only available until January 1st, 2022. But if you want a very strong peppermint flavor or prefer more fruity treats, you might want to try one of the other holiday treats at Disney!
