If you consider yourself a pretty major Disney fan, then you’ve probably heard of D23, which is the Ultimate Disney Fan Event. This event is where not only does Disney drop some of their biggest announcements, but you can buy exclusive merchandise, check out special presentations from Disney, and enjoy what it means to be a Disney fan.
Disney just released new ticket details, and we’re getting SO excited.
This year, D23 will take place from August 14th to 16th in Anaheim, California, and tickets will go on sale April 2nd.
D23 Gold Members on Essential, Choice, and Complete plans will receive priority access to purchase tickets.
There are several different ticket levels, and pricing for the event is available as low as $49 per person or as high as $2599 per person, depending on which level you choose. Going to the Anaheim Convention Center only is the cheapest way to experience the event, but you’d miss out on the showcases and ceremonies at the Honda Center.
The D23 Fan Pass allows entry to the panels, presentations, shopping, and immersive experiences at the Anaheim Convention Center, and you can select the ticket for an afternoon, a single day, or 3 days. The afternoon option is the biggest change for this year!
However, if you’d like to see the Disney Entertainment Showcase, the Disney Experiences Showcase, or the Disney Legends Ceremony, you’ll need to upgrade to the D23 Ultimate Fan Pass.
The D23 Ultimate Fan Pass has two levels — regular and preferred. The D23 Ultimate Preferred Fan Pass gets prime seating at the showcases and RSP access to limited edition pins. With the regular Ultimate Fan Pass, you’ll get seating for the showcases in the 200 or 400 levels.
D23 Gold Charter Members can purchase their tickets starting on March 31st at 10AM PT. After that, Gold Members on Essential, Choice, and Complete plans can purchase April 2nd at 10AM PT. The final tier of ticket sales opens at 12PM PT on April 2nd, for D23 Gold Members with complimentary plans through Disney+ perks.
While there are tons of different panels to watch, like some about Disney archives, certain movies (like last year’s Toy Story panel), our absolute favorite is the Disney Parks panel, which is typically where Disney announces new updates in the parks. Disney releases details all year, but this is the event where we typically see the biggest announcements.
Make sure you keep following Disney Food Blog for more information about D23, Disney Parks, and everything in between!
