Disney World is not only a popular place for guests to visit, it’s also a setting for lots of Disney commercials. If you’ve ever been walking through the parks and stumbled upon a big stage or some sound and lighting equipment, congratulations! You’ve just found a set for what is likely a commercial or Disney special in the works.
Filming in EPCOT
We’ve seen even MORE of these filming sessions in the parks for both the 50th Anniversary and the holiday season. So here’s a look at what’s happening behind the scenes of that filming you see for Disney World.
Today, we were strolling through the Magic Kingdom when we came across a big set area for filming.

In the hub area in front of the Cinderella Castle, a large area was roped off, and Cast Members were directing guests away from the space as well.

Inside that area, we saw all kinds of sound and lighting equipment, directors and other Cast Members, and some actors too!

When we asked the Cast Member about what was going on, they informed us that the filming was for a commercial.

So although those Disney World commercials seem simple enough when you watch them on TV, just know that there’s a LOT going on behind the scenes to make all the magic happen!
