REVIEW: Something Was MISSING From Disney World’s Newest Treat

It’s the holiday season in Disney World, which means TONS of delicious snacks have arrived!

We’ve got everything from super sweet treats to some delicious savory dishes, and we’ve been all over the parks and resorts already to try a bunch of new offerings. Today, we made our way to Disney Springs to sip on a holiday milkshake!

Recently, we stopped by D-Luxe Burger in Disney Springs to try out the “Oh Deer” Cookie Shake (isn’t that the cutest name?!).

It’s made with vanilla gelato, hazelnut liqueur, cinnamon syrup, whipped cream, and a dusting of cinnamon and sugar. On top, there’s supposed to be a deer-shaped ginger cookie garnish (hence the “oh deer” name). You can get one for $16.

When we first looked at it, we immediately felt like saying “oh dear” because there was no deer-shaped cookie! The deer cookies hadn’t arrived when we ordered our shake, so we got a star shaped one instead.

Other than the missing deer, we thought the shake was very tasty! It wasn’t aggressively sweet, because the cinnamon and ginger flavors balanced things out nicely. There was a bit of spice (holiday spice, not like hot spice), which we really enjoyed.

We couldn’t really taste the booze in this shake, so if that’s an important part of this treat to you then you might be a little disappointed on that front. So we were sort-of missing two things: a boozy flavor and (for us at least) the deer cookie. But even without those things, the shake was good! If you’re an adult who wants a fun holiday treat that’s not incredibly sweet (and you don’t really care about getting a strong boozy flavor) we think you’ll like this.
