Slinky Dog Dash

Grab your Slinky Dog Dash ears and Star Wars lightsaber, ’cause we’re heading to Hollywood Studios!

First, we’re looking around at some of the wait times and crowd levels in the parks this week.

Today, Sunset Boulevard was a little less crowded, maybe because of the 2021 Food & Wine Festival that began yesterday in EPCOT!

Unlike Sunset Boulevard, Toy Story Land was hopping! The land was pretty crowded, so it made sense that Slinky Dog Dash won the longest wait time award, with 110 minutes this afternoon!

Other popular rides were still busy, though. Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway had a wait time of 80 minutes.

Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run also had an 80-minute wait this afternoon.

Rock ‘n’ Rollercoaster was a bit shorter, with a wait time of 55 minutes!

After visiting some popular rides, we decided we needed a little shopping trip on Main Street!

Merchandise Update

While we were in the Celebrity 5 & 10 store, we found the coveted Mickey Soap Dispenser!

Let us tell you — these babies are not always easy to find! We were super excited to see them re-stocked in the parks! Each dispenser is just $9.99, which makes it one of the rare reasonably priced Disney souvenirs! If you spot one, grab it quick! These go fast!

Also in the Celebrity 5 & 10 we saw some Spirit Jerseys that got a major price increase!

Don’t get us wrong — we love a good Disney Spirit Jersey as much as anybody! But some styles now cost $74.99 instead of the usual $69.99. It’s following the trend of price increases we’ve seen on souvenirs throughout the Disney parks!

Speaking of price jumps, over in the Darkroom we found some really cute Loungefly Minnie Ears that now cost $39.99.

When we found these before in Disney Springs, they were just $34.99.

We also stopped by Mickey’s of Hollywood to check out some Black Widow and Captain America merchandise!

A lot of the Black Widow things featured the villain, called the Taskmaster!

But the Captain America gear was focused on the classic hero’s red-white-and-blue design! Inside Legends of Hollywood, we saw the new Dooney and Bourke Sketch Collection!

That’s a wrap for our shopping trip to the Studios!

On our way out, we stopped to say hello to Goofy, who was fishing in Echo Lake again!
