We’ve had our fair share of petit cakes in Disney World!

Most recently, we tried one inspired by the new Cruella movie — and it was GOOD. But we’re at Amorette’s Patisserie in Disney Springs to try a new arrival that just may top that.

Now, we told you earlier today about a new Darth Vader cake for Father’s Day…and now we’re here to see how it tastes! The “I Am Your Father” Petit Cake is a red velvet cake with cream cheese filling, bourbon dark chocolate mousse, and white and dark chocolate crisp pearls. You’ll also get a lightsaber made of fondant, with a cocoa butter-covered handle!

And guys…this is SO good. It’s probably one of the BEST petit cakes we’ve ever had!

The bourbon dark chocolate mousse is INCREDIBLE. In fact, it was so delicious that we could’ve used way more than 2 layers of it.

The red velvet cake is super moist, with a generous portion of cream cheese icing underneath the fondant to complement it.

Now, the crisp pearls did get a little soggy inside the cake, so they weren’t as crunchy as we’ve seen ’em before. But the flavor was still there, and their texture didn’t bother us at all!

If you’re a red velvet fan, you NEED to try this treat. And while the bourbon element may discourage some, it isn’t strong at all! Most people should be a-okay with it.

So…it turns out this kinda funny cake is SERIOUSLY good. Who would’ve thought? Try it at Amorette’s Patisserie for $22 — but hurry! It won’t be around forever. And stay tuned to DFB for more Disney news!
