Disneyland’s theme parks are officially set to reopen on April 30th, and we can’t wait!

New Orleans Square at Disneyland 2020
While we have been enjoying the popular eats in Walt Disney World, we truly can’t explain our excitement to eat some iconic Disneyland food again! We got a little taste of Disneyland eats at some of the food booths at A Touch of Disney, like churros and Dole Whip, but we’ve noticed a HUGE menu change at a classic Disneyland restaurant!
The Disneyland restaurant we are talking about is Cafe Orleans, located in New Orleans Square. This place is KNOWN for their delicious Beignets and Monte Cristo sandwich, but both of these dishes have been affected by the latest menu change!

Cafe Orleans 2019
Beignet-lovers, prepare yourself. The iconic beignets from Cafe Orleans are MISSING. Yep, you heard us right. These babies are nowhere to be found on the current menu. Luckily, there is another place to grab some beignets — the Mint Julep Bar still has Mickey beignets on the menu!

On a more positive note, the Monte Cristo on the menu is changing as well! This meal now comes WITH the iconic pommes frites. (Guess they knew we always ordered the two together anyway.)

Classic Monte Cristo….yum.
The sandwich remains the Sliced Turkey, Ham, and Swiss fried in a light batter and dusted with Powdered Sugar, all served with Berry Purée. But the Parmesan-Garlic Pommes Frites no longer need to be ordered separately! The Cajun-spiced Remoulade that used to come with the side of fries now come with the meal as well. These fries are some of our favorite Disney fries EVER. We typically pair these with the Monte Cristo anyway, so this makes that combo even easier.
