Although the 2021 Star Wars Rival Run Weekend is virtual, who says you can’t add some Jedi style to your race day look?
If you’re getting ready to run in the upcoming runDisney race, we’ve got just the thing for you. You can create your very own Star Wars style with a DIY project inspired by a popular character!
This DIY is especially exciting for Ahsoka Tano fans! runDisney has shared a DIY tutorial that will show you how to craft an Ahsoka headband to add some fun Padawan style to your virtual 5K look!
Supplies:
- Ahsoka Tano-inspired art
- Craft Cutter
- 12″ x 12″ cutting mat
- White Iron-on vinyl
- Blue non-slip headband
- Weeding tool, scraper, and scissors
- Ironing board and iron
Directions:
- Click to save the art file needed above.
- Cut vinyl according to the size of your headband.
- Affix it to the sticky cutting mat (shiny side down).
- Run the cutter, twice (first for the main design, then for side details.
- Remove excess vinyl using the weeding tool.
- Lay headband on the ironing board and center the first part of the design
- Ironing board and iron
- Cover vinyl with a towel or extra fabric and iron for 30 -45 seconds (non-steam setting).
- Remove the backing and check adhesion.
- Carefully align the second part of the design onto the headband.
- Repeat covering the vinyl with a towel or extra fabric and iron for 30 -45 seconds (non-steam setting).
- Once again, remove backing and check adhesion.
And then you’re done! Now you have a stylish Ahsoka-inspired headband!
