Dates Announced For 2021 Warrior Games at Disney World

Disney World has a long history of supporting members of the U.S. military.

Disney World holds a flag retreat ceremony every day, Veteran’s Day is significant in the parks, and Disney often offers special discounts to members of the military. And now, Disney World is preparing to host a major military event on its property.

Back in December, the United States Army Training and Doctrine Command announced that the annual Department of Defense (DoD) Warrior Games will be hosted at Disney World Resort’s ESPN Wide World of Sports complex.

The annual event includes military heroes from the U.S. Armed Forces and ally nations to compete in adaptive sporting events like wheelchair basketball, cycling, wheelchair rugby, rowing, and more. The event “celebrates the resiliency and dedication of wounded, ill, and injured active duty and veteran U.S. military service members.”

And we now have official dates for the event. Disney World will host the Warrior Games from September 12th through September 22nd. The 2021 Warrior Games is open to the public, so everyone has a chance to support these heroes.
