Today, February 8th, marks the 20th birthday of Disney California Adventure!

We’ve loved celebrating the occasion with fries in Mickey bowls, new special merchandise, and even diamond-shaped glow cubes! We tried many treats today, but one, in particular, wanted to make sure that Disney California had a very happy birthday!
We visited Trolley Treats to see if anything was new, and we found a classic Disney treat with a twist: a caramel apple! Officially called the “Classic Apple“, this treat’s surprise was in its decor.

The apple had a super cute candle and chocolate piece that said “Happy Birthday” for the anniversary of Disney California Adventure’s opening! Awwwwww, even the apples are getting in on the celebration!

Of course, we had to take it around Buena Vista Street and pose with it in some of our favorite and most iconic spots. But how did it taste?

Well, it tasted like your traditional caramel apple. It is a Granny Smith apple coated in caramel and milk chocolate, with a milk chocolate “Happy Birthday” piece, a white chocolate candle, and marshmallow ears. We prefer when apples are covered in milk chocolate instead of white chocolate, so this was a delicious apple in our opinion.

Our biggest complaint is the price. It is $11.99, and we’d probably want to spend our money elsewhere on more unique snacks. It is cute, but there wasn’t too much that was special about it.

You can currently grab this on Buena Vista Street. We aren’t sure how long the Happy Birthday decor will be around, but you can usually grab a caramel apple at this location. Stay tuned to DFB for the latest Disney news!
