Anyone who has been to Walt Disney World in recent years knows that the Disney World App is an integral part of the resort experience, which makes any changes to the system’s interface a big deal!
In mid-March 2026, Disney rolled out some changes that updated the My Disney Experience app’s visual language as some functionality elements.
The app’s main welcome page still looks similar, with information on the Lightning Lane tiers…
… along with park hours, and links to ongoing events and new attractions.
The full Disney World map remains available as one would expect…
… including the ability to zoom into each park to see all attraction and dining wait times.
The visual look of the search interface has been overhauled, with the images made large and changed in shape from round to rectangular. We did note some occasional glitches with the search, as well as the tendency to list events before the attraction itself.
For reference, here’s what the search page used to look like when populating results:
Shortcuts are still available to pull up from the bottom of the page…
… and features including dining reservations, mobile order, tickets, Lightning Lanes, etc. are still available as well.
Given the importance of the Disney World App to the overall resort experience, any change — even visual updates — is worth monitoring. Stay tuned to DFB for more on any changes coming to the “Most Magical Place on Earth.”
