We’ve eaten our share of cupcakes at Disney World, and we’re always on the hunt for more!
P & J’s Southern Takeout
From an Orange Cream Cupcake to a Cotton Candy Cupcake to a New Year’s Eve Cupcake, we’re no stranger to trying interesting cupcakes. And it seems our job is never done because Disney World is always releasing NEW cupcakes!
Well, we found yet ANOTHER new cupcake at Disney World today — the Specialty Cupcake at P & J’s Southern Takeout. It’s a Vanilla Cupcake with Raspberry Filling and Strawberry Buttercream, topped with rainbow sprinkles. And despite its uninspired name, it’s still a lot of fun to look at!

When we dug in, we found the cake nice and moist. The buttercream frosting was a little weird, though. It only had a hint of strawberry flavor, but it tasted more like imitation flavor rather than the real thing. Plus, it was too sweet. If you’re a big buttercream fan, you might be disappointed with this frosting.

We really loved the raspberry filling, though, and our only real complaint there was that we wanted MORE! More of that raspberry flavor would have definitely kicked this baby up a notch.

We think this is one of those snacks that kids will adore because, well, sprinkles make everything fun. You can try it out for yourself at P & J’s Southern Takeout at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground for $4.99. In the meantime, we’ll keep trying all the cupcakes at Disney World because someone has to do it, right?
