Nighttime spectaculars are still more or less on pause in Disney World right now, with a few minor exceptions like projections and light pyro on Cinderella Castle, Tower of Terror, and the Tree of Life.
Fireworks are a BIG piece of a classic Disney vacation, so we’re waiting patiently for them to return. Luckily, Disney has continued work on EPCOT’s upcoming nighttime show, Harmonious, and now we’ve got an UPDATE from above!
Thanks to @bioreconstruct on Twitter, we’ve got a new glimpse of the behind-the-scenes construction on Harmonious. The pilot last flew over the area about a month ago and things look a little bit different since then. The major barges, including the centerpiece ring barge, are still docked in the same place as workers prepare the technology.
Aerial look at the show barges of HarmonioUS. The ring, for the water screen at center of the show, is actually 3 separate barges. Video screens line the 4 semicircular barges. These barges will perform in World Showcase Lagoon as a large fountain in daytime. pic.twitter.com/sFa9tIIM3M
