Disney World’s Overhead Announcement Has Been Updated to Include the NEW Mask Removal Policy

We were hanging out in Disney World today when we heard an interesting change.

We’re seeing new changes pretty much every day in a reopened Disney World. Recently, we found out that Disney had updated their mask policy to state that you may remove your mask when eating and drinking only if you’re stationary. We’ve seen the update reflected in signage around the parks, and now the overhead announcement has been updated too!

As you may know, Disney has instituted an overhead announcement that plays periodically in the parks to remind guests of health measures and policies. Today in Hollywood Studios we heard an added piece to the message about how face coverings should be worn “at all times except when actively eating or drinking while stationary.”

Between the added communications and the Cast Members we’ve seen walking through the parks with signage to enforce the rules, Disney seems to be working hard to keep the face mask rule enforced. Stay tuned to DFB for more updates about a reopened Disney World!
