REVIEW and PICS! The Backlot Blondie in Hollywood Studios Is a Delicious Classic!

The brownie versus blondie debate is one that may never be solved.

But why pick sides! Sure, we love a classic brownie just like the next team of food-based bloggers, but we also seriously love a good blondie. This is why we were ecstatic when we found a new Backlot Blondie at Backlot Express in Hollywood Studios.

The Backlot Blondie is seriously gorgeous.

I mean look at that little dollop of icing on top! Our one complaint is that they didn’t put another chocolate circle on the other side so it looked like Mickey ears. Seriously, we’re one little piece of chocolate away from a Mickey, why can’t we have it?? Otherwise, this treat is really pretty.

This stunner is described as a Classic Blondie with Coconut, English Toffee, and Chocolate. Well, those are a few of our favorite things! In terms of size, this is NOT a small dessert. No way! This thing has got some serious heft to it, which is good news because can you really have enough blondie? Now it’s definitely a single portion but it’s not too small to share if you wanted to. But enough about the looks, let’s get to the taste!

Gosh, this thing is good. Like soooooo good. It’s got a great balance of coconut, so you can definitely taste it but it isn’t overpowering. The coconut is shaved, but don’t worry, even if you’re weird about the texture of coconut, we thought that the texture was lost in the rest of the treat.

The blondie is super soft on the inside with a crunchy-ish outside, which we enjoyed. And it’s sweet with just the right amount of toffee and chocolate flavors. TOO GOOD!!
