News and Review: Holiday Offerings at Award Wieners at Disney California Adventure!

As the holidays continue to unfold at Disneyland, so do the eats! Today we have more festive treats coming your way – this time from Award Wieners in Disney California Adventure!

For Holiday time at Award Wieners, they are offering a specialty hot dog and not one, but TWO different funnel cake fries! We couldn’t resist trying dessert first. We were excited to see the Pumpkin Spice Funnel Cake Fries were still on the menu having tried them during Halloween.

Pumpkin Spice Funnel Cake Fries

These are dusted with pumpkin spice sugar, drizzled with pumpkin spice sauce, and topped with whipped cream. If you are a fan of pumpkin-y desserts, these are certainly a treat we recommend. It’s nice to still find a dash of pumpkin around the park, as a lot of dishes transition to gingerbread and peppermint!

Stocking Stuffer Cake Fries

Next up, The Stocking Stuffer Funnel Cake Fries! These are churro funnel cake fries, topped with peppermint icing, crushed chocolate creme filled cookies, chocolate candies, crushed peppermint, and whipped topping. The peppermint flavor doesn’t stand out here as much as we wanted, but still very tasty. Basically, it’s the cookies and creme fries from Halloween, dressed up with green icing and red and green M&Ms.

Satisfied with dessert, we were ready for something savory! At Halloween, we tried Award Wiener’s Octoberfest dog. So we had to try their newest offering – the Holiday Beer Cheese Dog!

Holiday Beer Cheese Dog

The Holiday Beer Cheese Dog is a super-spicy kielbasa sausage topped with caramelized onions, sauerkraut, beer cheese, and green onions. It tasted a lot like the Oktoberfest Dog, however they changed the beer in the beer cheese topping. I love it as much as I did at Halloween! Delicious, flavorful cheese compliments the spicy sausage perfectly. I highly recommend it as a quick lunch or large snack option!
