What’s Going On With This Popular Snack in Magic Kingdom?

Okay, so we KNOW that Disney World’s 50th Anniversary Celebration is over, but we really didn’t want to say goodbye to some of our favorite snacks from the event.

We DID get a little lucky in that some treats DID stick around, like the Glimmer and Shimmer Blondie in Hollywood Studios. Wendell’s Bear Claw in Magic Kingdom also stuck around — for a while — but then it was gone for what we thought was FOREVER. BUT…that snack showed back up TODAY and now we’re like, “WHAT?“

Minnie’s Summertime Dine started at Hollywood & Vine this week in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. New menu items are set to arrive at Disney World restaurants soon to usher in the seasonal change. There’s even a new summer Disney World ticket deal available for booking. We’re also seeing some changes on Disney World restaurant menus, so let’s look at what’s happening.

Menu CHANGE Hits Disney World — One of Our Favorite Treats Is GONE

The worst part about Disney World’s 50th Anniversary Celebration being over is that many of the AMAZING 50th Anniversary snacks went away with the celebration. (Looking at you:  Pressed Penny Silk Pie, and you, too, Mr. Monte Cristo)

But some of our favorites still held on under new names, like the Shimmer and Glimmer Blondie in Disney’s Hollywood Studios (we were SO relieved when we saw it on the menu). Another favorite of ours also stayed on the menu after the celebration ended, so we THOUGHT it might stick around for good, but sadly, as of May 27th, that treat is GONE.

Coffee Hack: Get Joffrey’s Drinks WITHOUT a Long Line in Magic Kingdom

Are you someone who needs that morning cup of coffee to get going in Disney World?

Or maybe you need that afternoon java pick-me-up to get you through until park close? There are PLENTY of places to get coffee in Magic Kingdom, like Main Street Bakery (a Starbucks location), which almost ALWAYS has long lines. But if it’s Joffrey’s coffee you’re after, you can head to Tomorrowland to visit the Joffrey’s Revive stand. HOWEVER, there is often a long line there, too — so what can you do?

Okay, we know Disney World’s 50th anniversary has come and gone (although the decorations have been taking their own sweet time coming down). But, one 50th anniversary snack was a DFB favorite, and we were thrilled to still be able to order it after all the festivities had ended. Unfortunately, that won’t last forever — we recently got word that this beloved treat would be leaving the menu SOON.

Well, we saw a lot of price increases in Disney World this week.

Some were for food (we’ll get to that in a bit), but we also saw a price increase for Genie+ and the service switched to flexible pricing, meaning you’ll pay even more when demand is high. What a food-filled day this has been at Magic Kingdom! We’ve been trying brand-new food and drink items in celebration of Disney World’s 50th Anniversary, including treats from Aloha Isle, Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn & Cafe, and Columbia Harbour House!
