Universal is opening a new theme park this year! Universal Kids Resort is located in Frisco, a suburb north of Dallas, Texas. It’s aimed at families with young children, but it’s fun for both kids and kids-at-heart!

Universal Kids Resort will have seven lands themed after Shrek, SpongeBob, Minions, Trolls, and Jurassic World. The theme park has had an unspecified “opening in late 2026” for months, but now Universal has just announced the opening date — mark your calendars for July 1st, 2026!
