We’re sharing the top tips we picked up from our recent trip to Universal Studios Singapore!

We’ve been doing a LOT of traveling lately, with trips to Singapore for the maiden voyage of the Disney Adventure, Disneyland Paris for the Adventure World expansion, and the fantasy-themed Efteling park in the Netherlands, all in the books! We also visited Universal Studios Singapore while we were in the neighborhood, and now we’re reporting back with the tips we learned from our experience!
Some hotel rooms are really just glorified suitcase parking spots. You drop your bags, charge your phone, maybe do a little panicked outlet math, and pass out. Hotel Orchid Singapore is not really giving that energy.

This hotel, tucked into Singapore’s Tanjong Pagar neighborhood, sits in a very convenient part of the city with Tanjong Pagar, Chinatown, Maxwell, and Shenton Way MRT stations all nearby. In other words, it’s in a part of town that makes you feel a little more organized and worldly than you actually are, which is always a nice bonus on vacation.

The Disney Adventure
This stunning ship is unlike any other in the Disney Cruise Line fleet, and its home base is in Singapore, taking 3-night and 4-night sailings entirely at sea, with no port stops. We got to experience much of what the cruise has to offer, and we’ve have some serious tips for how to plan your sailing!
Sometimes when traveling, you’re hit with unexpected situations you never really prepared to find yourself in…especially if you’re in a foreign country.
Sometimes things don’t go as planned at the airport
Recently, we were supposed to fly from Singapore, have a layover in Istanbul, then fly to Paris to check out the new Disney Adventure World offerings at Disneyland Paris, but a flight delay and then a flight cancellation totally messed up our plans. That left us stranded in the Singapore Airport unexpectedly, but what was even more troublesome was finding out that after we made our way to our gate, finding food would be HARD.
It’s not unusual for us to find something on a Disney Cruise Line ship that we can’t stop thinking about. Sometimes it’s a souvenir, other times it’s a food item, but in this case, it’s an entire dining experience.
Bacha Coffee
We just got off the Disney Adventure, Disney’s newest cruise ship that happens to set sail from Singapore. We already knew this ship would be unlike any of the other Disney Cruise Line ships we’ve ever been on, but we did NOT expect this particular coffee experience to be part of that. If you’re on board, trust us when we say that you’ll experience Bacha Coffee and never be the same again.
The Disney Adventure has officially set sail, and there are SO many details to discover. From the first Disney castle at sea, tons of great food to try, and lots of shows to watch, we could spend weeks on board, constantly finding something new.
