Entertainment is slowly returning to Disney World, and we are SO HAPPY about it.
WE ARE READY!
We’re not going to lie — we cried when fireworks came back to the Magic Kingdom and EPCOT. And we were there the FIRST DAY that A Celebration of the Festival of the Lion King reopened. And although so many shows remain shuttered at Disney World, we got to see another one reopen today. YAY!
We’ve got GREAT news for those headed to Disney’s Animal Kingdom!

You might remember how excited we were when Festival of the Lion King reopened a few months ago. Despite the changes to the show, it’s still as popular as ever. That means you could have trouble getting a seat, but that just got a bit easier!
Disney World is starting to look a little more like it did pre-closure with each passing day. Gone are temperature checks, masks in most situations, and social distancing.

We’ve seen more crowds returning to the parks this summer, we’ve seen the Festival of the Lion King show return, we’ve seen ride pre-shows coming back. And now we know about even MORE entertainment returning soon to the parks!
Disney has given us a TON of Disney World holiday news recently!
Christmas Tree
Disney has confirmed that a new Christmas event Disney Most Merriest After Hours will replace Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. They have also confirmed that holiday projection shows, EPCOT Festival of the Holidays, holiday characters including Santa Claus, the Disney Springs Christmas Tree Stroll, AND the Disney World Resort gingerbread displays will return. So questions are still lingering about the 2021 holiday season in Disney World?!

Disney World is going through some big changes right now!
There are some big changes coming to Disney World!
Health and safety measures are starting to disappear and restaurants, entertainment options, and resorts are starting to reopen more frequently. Disney recently announced that fireworks would be returning to the parks soon, and that announcement has some huge implications for the future of what’s happening in the parks!
It’s only June, but it’s been a VERY busy year for Disney as the parks begin to reopen and slowly begin to return to normal operations.

Disney World will soon celebrate its 50th anniversary, Disneyland just reopened (and Avengers Campus has made its grand debut), Disneyland Paris reopens soon (and will debut a brand new Marvel-themed hotel), and Hong Kong Disneyland just got a massive update to its castle.
The last time we saw Mike and Sulley from Monsters, Inc., we were transported to their time at Monsters University where they first learned all about the fine art of scaring children.

But as we know, at the end of the first Monsters movie, Monsters, Inc., Mike and Sulley discovered that the power of laughter was far better at powering their world than scares. But what happened after that?
Good news for Festival of the Lion King fans!

This classic show reopened in Disney’s Animal Kingdom last month — and although there are some differences to the performances nowadays, we’re happy to see it back! Even though social distancing in the theater has been reduced, it remains a popular show, and you could have trouble snagging a seat. Luckily, that just got a bit easier!
So much has happened at Disney World recently and it can be hard to keep track of all the changes! But that’s why we’re here, to make sure you stay updated.

So in case you missed it, you’ll no longer have to do a temperature check when entering the parks. You’ll also be able to walk around outside without a mask (with exceptions). Also, at least one ride has already removed its plexiglass, and we’re starting to see shows at Disney World seat more guests.
