Recently, there have been a ton of changes around the Disney World parks.
Along with the looooong list of projects in the works, the parks have shifted their health and safety measures as well. Recently, Disney World slightly modified its mask requirements to allow for guests to briefly take off their masks for photos. On a bigger scale, Florida has already looked into loosening restrictions, while the COVID-19 vaccine is fully available to adults and could begin to become available to people under 16 soon. As Disney World takes all these facts into consideration, a big modification has occurred in the parks!
As Disney World continues to keep health and safety its priority, guests will no longer be required to undergo temperature checks upon entering the parks, resorts, and Disney Springs.
Florida’s Orange County recently ruled that temperature checks were no longer necessary. And, not soon after, Disney World announced that these changes to safety requirements would be implemented in the parks. While it was originally announced that temperature checks would no longer be required as of May 16th, we noticed that the temperature checks were already halted as of today when we entered the parks.
The temperature check tents were still up when we arrived at the parks, but they were empty and guests were able to pass through.
In addition to the parks and hotels, there are also no longer temperature checks required to enter Disney Springs either. Similar to the parks, while there are still temperature check tents up at the moment, they weren’t staffed with anyone and all guests were able to bypass them.
We’ll be sure to keep you updated on everything you need to know about the other upcoming changes we see in Disney World soon. And, you can stay tuned with DFB for the latest Disney news!
