As we continue deeper into the 21st Century, it’s not hyperbole to suggest that the Disney Parks have reached their most important crossroads of the last 20-plus years. Coming out of a pandemic that shut the theme park industry — and the world — down temporarily, life has moved back into a familiar rhythm that includes elevated theme park expectations. Over the last several years, The Walt Disney Company has made strides to elevate its parks worldwide, with the most recent advances coming in the highly touted Fantasy Springs expansion at Tokyo DisneySea. Stateside, we’ve seen the additions of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disneyland Park and Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Avengers Campus at Disney California Adventure, new attractions, lodging options, shows, and more. However, Disney is in the midst of what could be its biggest domestic undertaking since it opened Disney California Adventure in 2001, and there are plenty of questions that need to be answered.
