Disney’s BoardWalk is changing!
There are some MAJOR changes coming to Disney’s BoardWalk Inn at Walt Disney World! It was just announced that a new restaurant and bakery is coming to the iconic BoardWalk, and the BoardWalk Bakery will be turning into a sandwich shop! BUT, that’s not all — there are also changes being made INSIDE the hotel — Let’s get into it!
As if the Deluxe Disney World hotels aren’t fancy enough, 200 NEW rooms have been added to one of the most luxurious resorts in Disney World.
Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort
Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort just got new Resort Studios, which are DVC rooms located in the Big Pine Key building of the hotel. Construction on these studios began on March 1st, and the rooms officially opened on June 20th! You’ve just got $1,000 lying around in a tub you can swim around in, right? Oh, no? Wait, you’re NOT Scrooge McDuck? Ah, well then you (like many of us) probably aren’t willing to invest $1,000 (or any big amount of money) into your Disney World vacation without knowing if it’s worth it. Truly, you shouldn’t spend $5 on a snack if it isn’t worth it!

But what if there was a BIG Disney World perk that came with spending that $1,000…a perk like extra time in the parks with only a limited amount of other guests? Yes, we’re talking about bonus hours in the theme parks with only a limited amount of other people around you. This is what Disney calls Extended Evening Hours. But to get this perk you’ll likely have to spend some BIG bucks. Is it worth it? That’s what we’re going to find out together.
Is Disney World back to “normal” yet? Not quite. But little by little, things are changing.

For example, Disney World has had a lot of things reopen over the last year. Restaurants like The Diamond Horseshoe, Casey’s Corner, and Boma have reopened. Select experiences have also returned, like (modified) character meet and greets. Even Typhoon Lagoon Water Park is back! We previously shared some news about several restaurants that would be reopening soon in Disney World, and now, one of those spots is finally back in business, and we bet it’s a spot you might not have ever been to!
