There are several October traditions that Walt Disney World fans love: The ongoing International Food & Wine Festival, Halloween celebrations headlined by Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, and even the commemoration of Walt Disney World’s October 1971 opening. However, there’s one longstanding October “tradition” many actively dread: Price Increases.
It’s been a little while since we’ve heard anything about a new show that’s supposedly coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
Voyage of the Little Mermaid will soon become “The Little Mermaid — A Musical Adventure”
The new show, “The Little Mermaid — A Musical Adventure,” was originally supposed to open in Fall 2024 but has recently been pushed to Summer 2025, and a new permit was filed for the area, but that’s the last we’ve heard of it. This new show is replacing the former Voyage of the Little Mermaid show, which hasn’t been performed since before the 2020 park closures, and the building has been sitting empty. However, we’ve got an update now that definitely shows things are moving forward — a new casting call has been released!

We’ve seen some occasional food price increases this year, but it’s that time of the year when food price increases happen across the board at Disney World restaurants. Yep, we’ve got some news about that: those price increases have finally arrived.

Unfortunately, it’s also the time of the year when we crash back into reality as Disney World price hikes are announced. That trend is continuing with this latest announcement.

Fantasy in the Sky for New Year’s Eve
Holidays at Disney World can get pretty busy. From Easter to Thanksgiving to Christmas, many spend these days at the resort’s theme parks and hotels. One of the busiest holidays at the “Most Magical Place on Earth” is New Year’s Eve, with the parks staying open late and offering special entertainment offerings.
