When we say we’re nerds for Disney here at Disney Food Blog, we mean it. In fact, we’re so nerdy for Disney that we keep track of prices of all Disney World food so we can see increases (and decreases, but hey, that isn’t too common).
EPCOT
We are sorry to report that two EPCOT spots have been hit with the “price increase bug,” so your next meal might be a bit more expensive.
It’s the end of an era at Disney World. The phased closure of the Grand Avenue area — home of The Muppets — has begun.
Muppets Courtyard in Hollywood Studios
Mama Melrose’s Ristorante Italiano closed its doors on May 10th, and on June 7th, both Muppet*Vision 3D and PizzeRizzo will permanently close as well, marking the final days of the Muppets Courtyard. While we’re dreading seeing those pesky Disney construction walls again, we are excited about bringing Monsters, Inc. to this area. But, one very lucky group will get to be the last ones to experience the area and what it still has to offer!
While the Magic Kingdom is chock-full of delicious snacks and treats, one of our favorite Disney World treats is available just down the Monorail Loop at the Grand Floridian!
Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa
The snack in question is available at the resort’s Gasparilla Island Grill. While the restaurant offers a variety of entrees for lunch and dinner, including artisan burgers, flatbreads and sandwiches, our focus today is on something of a much sweeter variety.
Over in Epic Universe, you’ve got dozens of new food stalls, restaurants, bars, and everything in between to check out. We’re making it our mission to try them all and help you decide what’s worth it for your first trip to Epic Universe!
Dark Universe
In Dark Universe, near the Burning Blade Tavern, you’ll find DeLacey’s Cottage. This is a quick service spot with a limited menu, and we figured it was finally time to try one of the more savory items we’ve had our eyes on. However, this snack might be a little different from what we were expecting.

We’ll be the first to admit that most members of our team aren’t very thrilled when Disney announces another live-action film or remake.

Sure, we’ve seen some decent ones in the past, but several of them end up being flops, and we wonder why Disney keeps doing them. When Disney announced they’d be doing a live-action remake of one of our childhood favorites, Lilo & Stitch, we were TERRIFIED. Although the marketing has been hilarious, fans weren’t 100% sure the movie would deliver…but based on recent reviews, that is far from the case!
Major changes are hitting Disney’s Hollywood Studios next week! Not one, but TWO new attractions will debut on May 27th.
Disney’s Hollywood Studios
One of these attractions is a reimagining of the old Voyage of the Little Mermaid show called “The Little Mermaid — A Musical Adventure.” We’ve seen some of the show elements we’ll see, and Disney also teased that never-before-seen characters are coming to the show.
