We’ve finally made it to the spooky season in Disneyland again, and that means that it’s time for one of our favorite attractions to get a massive overlay!

Haunted Mansion is one of Disneyland’s most popular attractions at any time of year, but during Halloween and Christmas season, it turns into Haunted Mansion Holiday and grows even more popular. After a short closure to transform the ride, Haunted Mansion Holiday is officially open for guests to enjoy!
Disney‘s newest lounge is almost here! Over in Magic Kingdom, the brand-new Beak and Barrel lounge opens on August 29th, 2025. The new dining spot in the park will be a “first-of-its-kind experience” that “will extend the story of Pirates of the Caribbean.”

When you hear “refurbishment,” you probably imagine a quick touch-up and some new paint. But right now, we’re looking at closures that are either massive in scope, packed with big changes, or involve fan-favorite attractions that already feel too risky to tinker with. These are not just minor updates, and if you’re like me, you’re probably wondering what Disney will actually do behind those construction walls. Let’s get into the closures that are keeping me up at night.

Halloweentime
It’s finally Halloween Time at Disneyland, and we’re so excited for the spooky season! We’re talking treats, we’re talking Oogie Boogie Bash, and we’re talking dressing up. Speaking of, we finally got to see Mickey Mouse in his Halloween outfit for the first time. We’re going to show you, but beware, you’re going to feel like you need to step up your game!
Update: The tumbler is currently sold out, but Disney could re-stock it soon, so keep checking back!

We have to admit that this is one of our favorite times of the year. We love all the fun fall and Halloween decorations in Disney World and Disneyland, plus Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party in Disney World and Oogie Boogie Bash in Disneyland. If you’ve visited Epic Universe in Universal Orlando, you’ve probably seen some pretty long standby lines, especially for the more popular rides.
Mine-Cart Madness
We’re talking HOURS-long waits for Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter — Ministry of Magic. The lines for Donkey Kong: Mine-Cart Madness in Super Nintendo World can get pretty long, too. And, well, there’s no way to skip those two long standby lines…except now, there is. That’s because Universal has just added both rides to its Express Pass option.
