While we love a good old McDonald’s burger and fries like everyone else, there are some days when we feel like being fancy, classy, and full of wine. Luckily, we know just the place!
The sun is shining, the skies are blue, and we’re feeling hungry. That can only mean one thing: it’s time to head to Disney Springs to get some food! Today, our food of choice comes from Earl of Sandwich. We don’t talk about this spot much (this little restaurant has some stiff competition in Disney Springs), but it’s known for having quality sandwiches and savory snacks.

The EPCOT Food & Wine Festival is returning on July 27th! There are TONS of new menu items coming to EPCOT this year, plus some returning favorites like the cheese crawl, scavenger hunt, live outdoor concert series, and more.

Now, let’s talk about the FOOD. There are plenty of new and returning options this year, and it can be overwhelming to parse through all those menus. Luckily, we’re here to point out some tried-and-true festival favorites that are returning this year! Based on what we know about some returning EPCOT Food Booths, we can’t wait to be reunited with some of our favorite snacks.
We’ve seen plenty of flashy snacks and newsworthy desserts over the years, but nothing quite compares to an old classic: Dole Whip. It’s simple yet bright, sweet, and refreshing. Yes, this is officially a Dole Whip fan blog now. Kidding — but really, we love to celebrate Dole Whip around here!

Speaking of Dole Whip, there’s a MAJOR, very important holiday coming up. Is your calendar marked? This occasion calls for the largest of celebrations, so make sure you’ve got your party hats, people.
Fun fact: it is literally impossible not to smile when you meet Disney characters in their Halloween costumes. Think you can meet Winnie the Pooh and Piglet in their cute little costumes and NOT feel any joy? Good luck.

While we wait for August to roll around so we can officially start celebrating Halloween, we can do a little shopping in the meantime to prepare for the upcoming fall season! Oh, and good news: we found a Disney Loungefly backpack featuring Mickey Mouse, and yes, he is all dressed up for Halloween. YAY!
The ongoing political conflict between The Walt Disney Company and the Central Florida Tourism Oversight District (previously known as the Reedy Creek Improvement District) may soon come to a head. Following the latest update in the state case between the CFTOD and Disney, more news may be coming soon.

For reference, Central Florida Tourism Oversight District Board’s lawsuit came shortly after Disney filed a lawsuit against the Board and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis. The CFTOD Board filed a countersuit on May 1st, 2023. From there, Disney filed a motion to dismiss the CFTOD Board’s countersuit, stating the suit was “moot.” The CFTOD Board filed a response to Disney’s motion to dismiss, and finally, on July 14th, the judge heard arguments in the district’s lawsuit against Disney. Here’s what happens next.

The ghosts living inside The Haunted Mansion in Disney World have excellent style, don’t you think? Those dancing ghosts in the ballroom are all dressed up in their finest attire — if only we could join them at the party!
