Today, Disney World is hosting their 2021 Annual Meeting of Shareholders, where a number of business items will be discussed along with potential announcements from Disney Parks, Studios, Direct-to-Consumer, and more!

As the meeting began, Disney’s Chairman and former CEO Bob Iger made opening remarks, where he shared comments on the end of his time with the company.
In case you haven’t heard, there are some MAJOR shakeups happening over at the Disneyland Resort. In January, Disney announced that they would “sunset” the current Annual Passholder program, leaving countless Disneyland fans wondering what was to come when the parks reopen.

The most recent update about Disneyland’s reopening has been an exciting one! Governor Gavin Newsom’s new “Blueprint Refresh” will allow theme parks to reopen as early as April 1st at limited capacity. In order to reopen, the county where the park is located must be in the red/substantial tier for COVID-19. Let’s recap exactly what has gone down thus far with Disneyland’s Annual Passholder program since the closures began, and what we can expect to see as a replacement program later this year.
After a month of relatively low crowds, short park hours, and plentiful Disney Park Pass Reservation availability, our luck may finally be running out. As spring break season approaches, it looks like Disney World is preparing for larger-than-average crowds.

Well, this has been QUITE the morning for Disneyland fans. After the virtual queue began for A Touch of Disney tickets, everyone was greeted with a wait time of over one hour! This resulted in the queue being paused a couple of times.

Right now, there are folks that are still waiting in the virtual queue — we’re seeing average wait times of about thirty minutes as of this writing. Once we got through the queue, here’s what our full experience was like purchasing tickets for the event!
Disney World may be in a phased reopening from the closures in 2020, but there’s a full lineup of new dining locations across the resort on deck for 2021! In fact, a couple of those locations have already opened, with more (hopefully!) on the way!
