Hollywood Studios is busy preparing for new arrivals (we’re talking Lightning McQueen and Star Wars), but that doesn’t mean there aren’t other changes in the park. Here’s all the new updates we spotted this week!
We can’t resist this Alien Key Chain! How Fun!
There’s a lot going on in Hollywood Studios! We collected all of the construction updates in one place. Before you even get in the park there’s a lot of construction to see between the new bus stations and Skyliner station.
There’s a Skyliner gondola in the station again! This gondola looks like it is more operational than the gondola we saw in the station last fall. Learn more about this new transportation option coming to Disney World this fall here.
After eating our way around Epcot last week, it was time to re-visit the Magic Kingdom this week to see what’s new!
We found some rarely-seen characters, new sweet treats, some menu changes, and bunch of new merchandise. But first, look at who we met!
One week ago today, the 2019 Epcot Festival of the Arts kicked off in Disney World! This third annual celebration of the Culinary, Visual, and Performing Arts provides artistic tastes, sounds, and sights to guests throughout the park.
And today we’re sharing some very special sights around World Showcase, where artists have painted beloved Disney characters in various country Pavilions! [Read more…]
If you’re a Disney World Annual Passholder who has some fun time to spare this weekend, then you may want to consider attending the next V.I.Passholder Pop-Up Event in Disney Springs.
On Saturday, January 26th from 9:00 – 10:00 AM, local Disney artists Mike Posluszny and Dave Keefer will be at this Annual Passholder-exclusive event held at the World of Disney Store. This will be part of the introduction of the Disney Parks Artists Series, and the collection will feature four new Mickey Mouse T-shirts designed by local Disney artists: Darren Wilson, Dave Keefer, Mike Posluszny, and Casey Jones. If you are visiting Magic Kingdom today, you are in for a treat! In fact, even if you aren’t visiting on this very day, you can still look forward to the return of the Maleficent Dragon Float to the Festival of Fantasy Parade which happens to kick off today!
BUT, there is another treat that more immediate Magic Kingdom guests can look forward to. Storybook Treats in Fantasyland is bringing back the Maleficent Cone for a limited time (while supplies last) to celebrate the dragon’s return to the parade! [Read more…]
It’s an unforgettable moment when the Maleficent dragon float breathes fire during Disney World’s Festival of Fantasy Parade in Magic Kingdom.
However, it’s a moment that many guests have missed over the past several months, as the float was removed from the parade in May of 2018 after an unfortunate incident when the float caught fire during the parade. (No Cast Members or guests were harmed during the incident.)
But as of TODAY Maleficent will make her return to the Festival of Fantasy Parade! According to Disney, “While she still has her same Steampunk style and signature wicked smile, the Maleficent dragon will be sporting a refreshed look, enhanced with new safety features designed to keep her in check.” [Read more…]
