A massive change is coming to EPCOT in a few weeks!

An ultra-popular ride will close and be replaced with a brand-new version of the attraction on May 26th, and we’ve got all the details you need to know!
If you love Soarin’ Around the World, you have to run to EPCOT this week! The last day to experience this version at EPCOT will be May 13th, with the attraction officially closing on May 14th. See Mount Kilimanjaro, Sydney Harbor, and the iconic leaning Eiffel Tower before it’s gone for a while; Disney hasn’t yet announced when Soarin’ Around The World will return to EPCOT.

Between May 14th and May 25th, Disney will be hard at work switching Soarin’ Around The World over to a brand-new version – Soarin’ Across America. According to permits filed by Walt Disney Imagineering, the week-and-a-half-long closure will notably involve installing set elements. This likely means the signage out front of the ride will be updated to reflect the changes.

Soarin’ Across America will celebrate the 250th Anniversary of the U.S.! This brand-new version of Soarin’ will soar riders across both coasts of the U.S., highlighting some of the country’s iconic landscapes and cityscapes. Think sweeping natural beauty, recognizable skylines, and a heavy dose of Americana! Soarin’ Across America will officially open on May 26th in Walt Disney World in Florida and later on July 2nd in Disneyland in California.

Plus, another major change is the return of GoofyCore at EPCOT’s CommuniCore Hall starting on May 26th. You can dance and play along with the Goof Troop, DJ Dance Pants, and Goofy himself in fun activities. Goofy’s Game Machine presents playtime favorites such as Goofy Says, Balloon Bonanza, and Parachutes ‘n’ Pipsqueaks. This is only open from May 26th to September 8th, 2026, so head over to CommuniCore Hall after your Soarin’ Across America ride for some Goof-tastic fun!

I thought Soarin’ Across America was set to open in Disney California Adventure on July 2, 2026? Please tell me I’m wrong as I’ll be there in June and would LOVE to experience this.
