Disney announced that a popular change is coming to the Disney Dining Plan, and here’s everything you need to know before you book it.

The Disney Dining Plan is a prepaid meal plan that sets the number of meals and snacks that you can get during your trip. This is a popular option for Disney World visitors due to the Dining Plan’s convenience and ease of use. However, Disney just announced there will be a new dining plan coming in 2027, so how do you know which one is a good fit for you? We’re here to help!
In 2027, you can choose from 3 Disney Dining Plans: the Quick-Service Dining Plan, the Table-Service (or Standard) Dining Plan, or the Deluxe Table-Service Dining Plan. We’re going to focus on deciding between the Table-Service Dining Plan and the Deluxe Table-Service Dining Plan.

Deluxe Disney Dining Plan
Disney World previously had a Deluxe Dining Plan, but it never returned after the pandemic-related park closures. The Deluxe Table-Service Dining Plan differs from the Standard Table-Service Dining Plan in that it includes TWO (2) table-service meals per night of stay, instead of just one.

The Deluxe Table-Service Dining Plan also used to include two snack credits, but now only includes one, like the other plans. Additionally, it used to include THREE Table Service OR Quick Service meals — you could choose which you wanted (the new appears to have it assigned as 2 Table-Service and 1 Quick-Service).

The Disney Deluxe Table-Service Dining Plan costs $163.01 per adult per night, ages 10 and up, and $46.85 per child per night, ages 3 to 9. This dining plan includes:
- Two table service entrées, dessert (lunch and dinner only), OR full buffet;
- Guests under 21 years of age can choose one non-alcoholic beverage with their Quick Service and Table Service meal (including specialty beverages for guests 10 years old and over — i.e., Artisanal Milk Shakes, Fresh Smoothies, Premium Hot Chocolates, or Soda, Coffee, or Tea — where offered).
- Guests 21 and older can choose either one non-alcoholic beverage (including specialty beverages where offered) or one single serving mixed cocktail, beer, or wine (where offered) within their meal entitlement.
- One quick service meal, including entrée OR combo meal;

The Disney Dining Plan is so convenient for your trip. All you have to do when you get to Disney World is:
- Head to a restaurant on the list of participating locations
- EAT!
- And scan your MagicBand, Key to the World card, or Disney MagicMobile pass
Who Can Benefit from the Deluxe Dining Plan
The Deluxe Table Service Dining Plan is made for foodies! If your travel party is looking to enjoy multiple sit-down meals per day and uses dining as breaks from the day, this would work well for you. If your travel party likes structure to their day and sees the dining plan as a convenient part of your trip, you would enjoy the Deluxe plan. If you want to dine at fine dining restaurants or do multiple character meals, this plan could help save you money. And if you are someone who enjoys eating three full meals a day at Disney World, this is the only plan that will give you the credits to do so.

Liberty Tree Tavern
The price difference between the Deluxe and the Table-Service plan is $63.14 per night, which would be about the cost of a Table-Service meal (depending on the restaurant and on what you order). If you want to do the Deluxe plan, we suggest maximizing your plan by ordering higher-priced items.

Who Can Benefit from the Table-Service Dining Plan
For guests who want more flexibility and who are prioritizing rides over dining, the Table-Service Dining Plan would be sufficient. Multiple Table-Service meals a day can eat away at your time — think between two and a half to four hours, depending on your dining experience. If you have multiple dining reservations per day, this can also make your day very structured. If you like to snack around for one of your meals per day, the Table-Service is a great option since you only have 2 meal credits per day.
