We’re only about a month away from the NEW Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring the Muppets in Disney’s Hollywood Studios from opening, and y’all, we couldn’t be MORE excited…because, well, it’s the MUPPETS.
Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring the Muppets
Now, Disney has been teasing us with a lot of ride details recently, including the full list of songs you’ll hear on the ride, as well as the fact that there will be early previews for some. The official opening date — May 26th — can’t get here fast enough. Well, Disney recently shared a new Walt Disney Imagineering video…and it includes a first look at the new ride’s queue. Let’s check it out!
The video features Imagineer Ben Conway, who is an Associate Set Director on Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring the Muppets, and he’s shown working on some details in the queue related to Gonzo…er…The GREAT Gonzo!

The queue includes a big box of “The Great Gonzo Weird Stuff,” too. Okay, now we’re intrigued.

You’ll also see a camera in the queue…but look at the feathers. So Gonzo has his chickens around somewhere, too!

One thing we love is that there are all kinds of fun little details you’ll be able to spot in the queue, including one of Gonzo’s shirts.

And there’s The Great Gonzo’s cape and banner!

Disney talks about how they’re including so many props and details into the new ride, and we can’t wait to see them all. Here’s the full video. It also talks about Lakeshore Lodge, Disney World’s newest hotel, and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, which is reopening with updates SOON.

Ok I love the details of the wagon wheels and donkey footprints and Big Thunder Mountain. So Cool! The details they think of!
Seriously impressed with the detail on the ride concrete! I always thought that was stuff they added over top of the slab. What an awesome job it must be to get to so that kind of thing and to get to be that creative!
Omg! That sounds so exciting and I’m going to Disney next year! The update will be there when our party of six goes. My daughter loves coasters that go upside down and I love the muppets. We are def going on this coaster!
