These days, when people think about visiting Universal Orlando, their first thought is pretty much all about Epic Universe, which makes sense because it’s still a relatively new theme park.
However, if you’re making a trip to Universal and skipping out on CityWalk, you might be doing yourself a disservice. CityWalk is Universal’s shopping and dining district, and the best part about it is that you don’t need a ticket to visit. And soon, you’ll have even more reasons to visit CityWalk because a lot of new stuff is coming to the area!
So what’s on the way? The Universal Legacy Store will be returning in late April. There, you’ll be able to buy some fun retro merchandise plus get some photo ops inspired by classic Universal Studios Florida attractions and Universal movies like E.T., Jaws, Back to the Future, and Universal Monsters. To make way for the Universal Legacy Store, the Universal Epic Universe Preview Center will be closing on April 13th to make way for the NEW shop.
Five Guys, which is a super popular burger restaurant, will be making its way to Universal CityWalk later this summer. It will be taking over the Burger King Whopper Bar, which will close on April 21st. Pro tip: order the Cajun fries and ask for the secret menu item, the Patty Melt. TRUST ME.
As we previously announced, country music star Luke Combs is bringing Luke Combs’ Category 10 to CityWalk. This will be a new location for the entertainment venue where you’ll be able to enjoy live music, food, and drinks. However, you’ll have to wait a bit longer for this spot to open its doors: it’s not expected to be ready until 2027.
So you will soon have even more reasons to visit CityWalk, so keep that in mind if you’re planning a trip to Universal Orlando. And we’ll keep you updated on everything NEW happening at Universal, so stay tuned to DFB for more.

Funny, although I had never been there, just last month I was thinking about going to the Burger King Bar, and now it is going away. Never ever saw one of these before anywhere.
