There are a lot of changes happening at Disney World in 2026, and that is affecting even the most popular restaurants.

Be Our Guest
Between newly reopened restaurants, refreshed menus, and guests being picky about where their dining budget is going to go, we’re seeing even longtime favorites face some competition. That doesn’t mean these restaurants have lost their magic, but it does mean Disney fans are branching out, discovering alternatives that feel newer, more affordable, or just plain more exciting. Here are five popular Disney World restaurants that fans aren’t booking quite as quickly this year, and what’s catching their attention instead.
‘Ohana
First up is ‘Ohana, a spot that has been a staple for years thanks to its all-you-care-to-enjoy dinners and nostalgic atmosphere. Lately, though, word has gotten around that the experience isn’t quite what it used to be, with some guests feeling the quality has dipped compared to its peak. On top of that, ongoing construction has impacted those coveted fireworks views, making the experience feel less special for some diners. Meanwhile, Sebastian’s Bistro has become a fan-favorite alternative, offering a similar family-style meal with crowd-pleasing flavors at a significantly lower price point.

Steakhouse 71
Next is Steakhouse 71, which we still love for its classic steakhouse vibe and solid menu. However, it’s facing some serious competition from Bourbon Steak at the Swan and Dolphin. As one of the newer dining experiences on property, Bourbon Steak has quickly gained buzz, especially thanks to its indulgent touches like complimentary fry flights that have foodies racing to snag reservations. For fans looking to try something fresh and a little more elevated, it’s easy to see why they’re opting for the newer hotspot.

Be Our Guest
Then there’s Be Our Guest Restaurant, which once felt like the ultimate must-do reservation in Magic Kingdom. While the theming is still stunning, many guests are reconsidering the high price tag, especially since the experience has changed over time to the prix-fixe menu. The Beast no longer offers a traditional meet-and-greet; instead, he roams the dining rooms, which has been a disappointment for some visitors. At the same time, fans are realizing they can still enjoy Beauty and the Beast-inspired eats and vibes for much less at spots like Gaston’s Tavern or sip something fancy at Enchanted Rose –all without committing to a pricey meal.

The Cake Bake Shop
Over at Disney’s BoardWalk area, The Cake Bake Shop Restaurant is still drawing crowds with its over-the-top desserts and elegant tea service. But now it has some fresh competition from the newly reopened Garden View Tea Room. With its classic charm, the tea room is quickly catching the attention of Disney fans looking for something new. While Cake Bake Shop will likely remain packed, we could see more guests choosing to try the new tea experience instead, especially those who love to prioritize what’s latest at Disney World.

Via Napoli
Finally, Via Napoli Ristorante e Pizzeria has long been a go-to for authentic Italian pizza in EPCOT. But with buzz building around Level99, which is expected to serve craft-style pizzas alongside its immersive gaming experience, fans are curious to try something different. The idea of pairing unique entertainment with high-quality pizza is enough to pull some attention away from this EPCOT staple, especially for guests looking to shake up their usual dining routine.
