The day has finally come! The Grand Floridian Resort‘s tea room reservations are open now!
The Garden View Tea Room closed with Walt Disney World during the COVID-19 pandemic, and we’ve been patiently awaiting its reopening for the past five years. Here’s everything you need to know about the Grand Floridian’s newly renovated tea room!
The Garden View Tea Room opens on March 19th. The tea room experience is $79 per adult and $49 per child aged 3-9 plus tax and gratuity. There’s so much great food and drinks that we’re excited to try!
As of 9 AM ET on February 19th, reservations are completely booked solid as far as the calendar goes out. Yes, that’s right, as of now, reservations are SOLD OUT. But, not all hope is lost! We’re pretty sure that Disney is doing a slow rollout of reservations here, like they did with GEO-82 at EPCOT when it first opened.
We were up at 6 AM (when dining reservations typically open), but it seemed like Disney was slow to get things going, because we weren’t actually able to make a reservation until around 6:40 AM. If you didn’t snag a reservation yet, keep trying! People will likely cancel or reschedule theirs, giving you more of an opportunity to find one.
They’ll now serve eight tea options:
- Orangery of Lady Grey – Light and fragrant black tea with bright citrus notes of orange and bergamot. A refreshing twist on classic Earl Grey, inspired by sunlit English orangeries
- London Strand Breakfast – Bold and malty Assam black teas with golden-tipped leaves for richness and a full-bodied finish
- Nutty Chocolate Flavoured Assam – Rich Assam black tea meets the flavours of smooth chocolate and roasted hazelnuts. A blend inspired by the timeless pairing of tea and chocolate.
- Spicy Chai – A blend of African black tea and Rooibos with a blend of fragrant spices for a rich and delicious Chai.
- Exotic Mango & Ginger – A rich, fragrant blend of glorious mango and ginger layered over a base of green tea.
- Lemongrass & Peppermint – Refreshing lemongrass blended with sweet peppermint, creating an upliftingly smooth herbal citrus infusion.
- Redbush Caramel Velvet – A vibrant copper-red herbal infusion made from South African redbush leaves. Flavoured with caramel and safflowers for a smooth, comforting cup.
- Blackcurrant & Lavender – Rich and fragrant, this herbal blend delivers the essence of autumn-fiery golden leaves, vibrant holly berries, and fields of amber harvests.
For food, the tea room experience includes several dishes:
- Orange-Cranberry Scone – A classic English scone with orange and cranberry for a starter
- Curried Chicken Salad Playing Card Tart – Savory curried chicken salad filling topped with cherry gelée
- Footman’s Feast: Wonderland Salmon Crisp – Wonderland Salmon Crisp with a salmon rillette on a miso brown butter crisp
- Tweedledee Egg Salad Sandwich – A traditional egg salad on beet bread
- Caterpillar Cucumber Roll – A delicious combination with butterfly pea-infused cream cheese and cucumbers on pumpernickel
- Matcha Mad Hatter – Sponge cake with apricot jam and yuzu buttercream
- Tea Party Tart – Vanilla tart, coffee custard, and chantilly cream
- Flamingo Croquet Choux – Choux pastry filled with passion fruit cream and a raspberry crunch
- Painting the Rose – Earl Grey-flavored teacake painted tableside
For guests with dietary restrictions, vegan options are also available upon request.
The kid’s afternoon tea includes six mini-sized dishes.
- Queen of Hearts Cheese Toastie
- Fanciful Turkey Wrap
- Sunflower Seed Butter and Jelly Bun
- Cheshire Cat Raspberry Macaron
- Chocolate Brownie Branch
- Vanilla White Rabbit Cupcake

I had issues snagging a reservation as well, in spite of being on line extra early. I was able to get one for the end of March. I am looking forward to it; I hope it’s as good as it was before!
