NEW Fireworks Show Announced for the Disney Adventure Cruise Ship

The Disney Adventure is so close to setting sail! The newest Disney Cruise Line ship was supposed to set sail in January 2026, but its maiden voyage has been pushed to March 20th, 2026.

This new ship is said to be unlike anything we’ve ever seen, and now, Disney has shared that a new firework spectaular is debuting along with the ship! We’re bringing you all of the details right here.

The Disney Adventure is joining Disney’s cruise line fleet very soon, and we have been awaiting this new ship for years. The ship will have brand new entertainment, restaurants, themeing, and more. Every Disney cruise ship does offer fireworks at sea, but now the Disney Adventure is debuting a brand-new spectacular inspired by The Lion King!

The new show will be exclusive to this ship, and it’s called “The Lion King: Celebration in the Sky.” This show celebrates the story and the characters from the film with pyrotechnics, dramatic lighting, and songs from the film. The show will have original arrangements of “Circle of Life,” “Hakuna Matata,” “He Lives in You,” and “Can You Feel the Love Tonight?” All of these will be performed by the Royal Scottish National Orchestra with voices from the Ndlovu Youth Choir from South Africa.

Shah Rukh Khan, voice of Mufasa in the Hindi-language version of Disney’s The Lion King (2019) and Mufasa (2024), will also narrate the show, which is super exciting! This show will be available on select nights during the 3 and 4-night cruises. This sounds very different and unique from every other Disney Cruise fireworks experience, which feels very on par for this ship.

Disney has also shared new looks at other entertainment on the ship, like “Remember,” which stars WALL-E and Eve! They have also given us sneak peeks at brand-new attractions that are coming to sea, yes, we said attractions! We’ve even glanced at the new menus, which left us hungry for days.

Not only will this ship be completely unique, but it will also feature Disney’s first castle at sea. There really is SO much to look forward to regarding this new cruise ship, so you know we are watching for every single detail and update. This ship’s home port is in Singapore, and it will be the first Disney Cruise Line ship to sail from Singapore’s Marina Bay Cruise Centre and throughout Southeast Asia. This ship won’t stop at any ports, unlike the rest of the cruise’s fleet, but it will feature Disney, Pixar, and Marvel stories on board.
