One of Disney World’s coziest lounges is taking a short break.

Disney’s Yacht Club
If you’ve spent anytime around us here at DFB, you KNOW we’re big fans of winding down a long day at Disney World with a trip to a lounge. Disney recently announced a closure happening soon that will keep us from visiting one of our favorite hidden gems around the EPCOT hotels. Here’s what we know so far about this closure, how long you can expect it to be, and where you can grab your drinks and small bites in the meantime!
If Crew’s Cup Lounge is one of your favorite cozy spots around EPCOT, I’ve got some bittersweet news to share. Disney has officially announced that Crew’s Cup Lounge at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort will close beginning February 23rd, with a reopening expected in May as part of a refurbishment project.

Inside the lounge!
The good news here, though, is that this is a temporary closure — not a permanent goodbye. While Disney hasn’t released details yet about what changes or upgrades are coming, refurbishments usually mean work among things like refreshed interiors, updated finishes, and possibly some menu or layout tweaks. In other words, it’s very likely this cozy little slice of heaven will come back looking better than ever!

New food!
During the closure period, hotel guests staying at or visiting the Yacht Club Resort may notice daytime construction activity, including visible work areas or noise, while the refurbishment is underway. So, if you’re planning a stay at the Yacht Club this spring and were hoping to unwind at Crew’s Cup in the evenings, it’s definitely something to keep in mind.

Crew’s Cup Signature Old Fashioned
For those who love this lounge for its laid-back pub vibe, craft beer selection, and easy access to EPCOT’s back entrance, this closure is a little sad, buuuuut thankfully it’ll only last a few months! The timing means that by early summer, Crew’s Cup should be back in action just in time for peak travel season and EPCOT festival crowds.

Crew’s Cup Lounge
If you’re visiting between late February and May, don’t worry — there are still plenty of great alternatives nearby, like Ale & Compass Lounge (also at Yacht Club), AbracadaBar at Disney’s BoardWalk Inn Resort, or the Rose & Crown Pub inside EPCOT. And once Crew’s Cup reopens, it’ll be the perfect excuse to plan a return visit and see what’s new.
I’ll be keeping an eye out for updates as Disney releases more details about the refurbishment, and I’ll share them as soon as we know what changes are coming. In the meantime, stay tuned right here at DFB so you don’t miss an update.
