Disneyland’s Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is getting some HUGE changes on April 29th!
Disney is expanding the timeline for Galaxy’s Edge to include more Star Wars eras that will unlock the timeline in the biggest way yet. We’re talking new characters, updated stores, and what some people might consider the most exciting part — updated MUSIC (it’s us, we’re “some people”)!
This is NOT a drill! Few movie scores are as iconic as the John Williams-composed soundtrack from the Star Wars franchise, and soon, you’ll be able to hear some of those iconic songs as you make your way around Galaxy’s Edge at Disneyland! Get ready to be further transported into the world of Star Wars with the addition of beloved scores from John Williams, pulling themes from the first six movies.
As you make your way through the tunnels of Galaxy’s Edge, the iconic “Main Title” and “Force Theme” will transport you to a galaxy far, far away. While wandering through the land, expect to hear motifs from other classic tracks like “Han Solo and the Princess,” “The Desert and the Robot Auction,” “The Emperor,” and more.
Not only that, but the iconic “Cantina Band” tune will be heard from inside Oga’s Cantina. In this updated storyline of the Galactic Civil War, proprietor Oga Garra has recently opened this watering hole — which is already a popular spot for intergalactic travelers.
In addition to these musical updates, we’re also looking forward to NEW characters, including Han and Leia, Luke, and yes — Darth Vader, who are all coming to Batuu. Some stores and other experiences are being updated as well, and you can read more about all the changes right here.
As of now, these changes are only slated for Disneyland’s version of Galaxy’s Edge, but we’ll be keeping an eye out for any updates at Disney’s Hollywood Studios as well.
We are SO looking forward to these changes coming to Galaxy’s Edge at Disneyland, and we’ll be bringing you a first look (and listen!) of them all. In the meantime, we’ll be on the lookout for the latest news from Disney and more!
