REVIEW: It’s Cute and Popular – But How Does This NEW Disney Treat Taste?

TONS of new treats and drinks dropped in Disneyland last Thursday, January 8th! Of course, we stopped by to try some of the new offerings—like PINK milk!! Yes, there is now a third milk option in Galaxy’s Edge! Plus, we also grabbed a Sweet Heat Beignet Chicken Sandwich, Infinity Cream Puffs, and 9 other new food items. We also really wanted to try another new treat, but by the time we stopped by to grab it, it had already SOLD OUT.

Cast Members said they didn’t anticipate its popularity, so they didn’t make many. We vowed to make our way back — earlier this time — as soon as we could. Well, we have some good news! We stopped by Disneyland this weekend, and we were able to secure this popular treat!

Here it is: the Mickey-Shaped Cinnamon Roll Macaron! You can find this treat at the Cappuccino Cart at Disney California Adventure. You can grab it for $9. It is a cinnamon roll macaron shell filled with cream cheese buttercream and cinnamon caramel.

The macaron is served chilled, and it is veeerrry delicate. It broke the moment we took it out of the container, so we recommend snapping your pictures before trying to remove it from the plastic! The treat had a strong cream cheese flavor that seemed to overpower the cinnamon flavor. You got some hints of cinnamon, but cream cheese is definitely the star.

We wish there were a bit more of a cinnamon flavor, but if you are a cream cheese fan, we think you will love this macaron. It is definitely a cute treat, but we were a bit disappointed in the overall flavor. We still enjoyed it, but it didn’t really deliver on the “cinnamon roll” flavor.
