91 NEW Treats Are Coming to Disneyland SOON
A bakery closed permanently!
Over in Disney World, a Disney Springs bakery closed forever. Sprinkles, a national cupcake bakery chain, permanently closed on January 1st. The Disney Springs location was part of the chain’s national closure which was only formally confirmed on the day of the closure.

Sprinkles Cupcakes is closed
The hours were removed from Disney’s website, and a Cast Member confirmed it’s permanently closed. This closure surprised many, including employees of the company and even the original creator of the brand, who sold it to a private equity firm in 2012.

These sweet cupcakes will be missed!
Disney has yet to confirm what will take this location’s place, if anything. You can read everything we know about the closures here!

More closures hit Disney World!
Finally, it seems like Disney World wanted even more closures because another attraction will be briefly closing for a refurbishment. Over on their website, Disney confirmed that half of Pete’s Silly Sideshow will be closing for refurbishment on January 4th, 2026.

The Astounding Donaldo at Pete’s Silly Sideshow in Magic Kingdom
This impacts Goofy and Donald’s side of the meet and greet. On the other side, Minnie Mouse and Daisy Duck will also be unavailable starting January 4th. Previously, Disney shared that the boy’s side of the meet and greet wouldn’t close until January 5th. Disney has yet to confirm when this location will reopen, but they have shared where you can find these 4 friends in the meantime.

The four will still be located in Storybook Circus in Fantasyland, so keep your eyes peeled for some circus performers! Thanks to all of the other construction going on around the parks, we hope that this refurbishment will be relatively short.
