Happy New Year, friends! It’s finally time to say goodbye to 2025 and cheer our way into 2026. Whether you’re celebrating on the couch with snacks or dressed up for a big night out, it’s the perfect evening to enjoy dazzling fireworks and colorful explosions lighting up the sky.

Disney World’s New Year’s Eve fireworks are always a big deal, especially at EPCOT and Magic Kingdom, and 2025’s sendoff is just as spectacular. Join us for a FIRST LOOK at the dazzling Magic Kingdom fireworks, helping us ring in 2026 in true Disney style!
Magic Kingdom’s New Year’s Eve fireworks spectacular, Fantasy in the Sky, is a once-a-year treat that only appears on December 30th and 31st — with shows at 7:30PM and 11:50PM on both nights. Naturally, we had to see this classic celebration for ourselves, and we’re bringing you along with us. We even joined the festivities a little early… along with what felt like half the park! Pro tip: if you’re hoping for a great viewing spot, plan to arrive well ahead of showtime.

We got our spot right in the middle of the Hub, a little bit in front of the partner’s statue. We grabbed our spot roughly half an hour before the show began, and it was packed!

This show is super colorful, bright, and vibrant. Throughout the show, you also hear Mickey, Minnie, and Goofy talking to the guests.
SO GORGEOUS
Once it gets close to midnight (and even at the 7:30 show), the characters and guests in the park all join together to start the countdown to the new year! We love that they do this at each showing, so if you or your kiddos can’t make it to midnight, you still get the fun experience.

At the end, you can even see the new year projected on the side of the castle! Welcome 2026!

EPCOT also joins the celebration with its own New Year’s Eve spectacular, Cheers to the New Year: A Sparkling Celebration, which lights up the sky at 11:54PM on December 31st.
