If you are reading this post while hungry, BE WARNED. Seriously, we’re not joking! You’re willing to keep reading? Okay, well then — we’ve got some DELICIOUS details to share with you!
The 2026 EPCOT International Flower and Garden Festival has officially started, and it has a LOT to offer. There are plenty of food booths with tasty items, unique topiaries to check out, merchandise to grab (of course), and even concerts to watch. But don’t let it overwhelm you; we’ve got you covered with everything you need to know. And now we’re heading to one spot in particular — the Bauernmarkt Farmer’s Market — to give you the FULL scoop! Is it worth a try? Let’s find out!
Menu
Over at the Bauernmarkt Farmer’s Market, it lacks in new items (that is to say, there are none this year), but it MORE than makes up for it with an abundance of returning favorites! The Booth’s Potato Pancakes (with either house-made applesauce), the Toasted Pretzel Bread, and Warm Cheese Strudel have become practically synonymous with the EPCOT Flower and Garden Festival.
Beverages include the Bitburger Premium Pils, Stiegl Brewery Raspberry Radler, and Weihenstephaner Hefe Weissbier — each of which can be purchased individually or tried as part of the Beer Flight. The popular Apfelschaumwein is back, too!
And with that, we say, “Prost!” Let’s dig in!
Eats
First up, we grabbed Potato Pancakes with house-made applesauce for $5.29. This is a returning item this year, and is part of the Garden Graze plant-based food stroll, and is also listed as one of EPCOT’s Kids Picks.
Unfortunately, these weren’t our favorites! They were seared on the outside, but we’d really like for them to be cooked all the way through, so it doesn’t have that undercooked feeling. There wasn’t much seasoning on it, so most of the flavor is going to come through the applesauce, which is very traditional. This definitely isn’t a top dish, but it’s there when you need your potato fix.
Now, the reputation of the Toasted Pretzel Bread precedes itself; seriously, we look forward to its return EVERY YEAR! Why? Well, the Pretzel Bread itself is topped with black forest ham and oodles of melted cheese for $6.19. This is typically a must-try item. In fact, it’s made our Best of the Fest for several years in a row! But how does it stack up this year?
These are always one of our favorites for good reason. The pretzel is soft with just the right amount of salt, and it’s melted to perfection. The ham is cooked a little too much for our liking since it makes it almost crispy, but it’s pretzel bread and cheese…what’s not to love?
It’s always good to see the Warm Cheese Strudel with berry compote return to the Festival, as well. This simple yet decadent dessert comes in at $4.99.
The berry compote has a bright and tart burst of flavor and pairs well with the sweet cheese tucked inside. The pastry was light and flaky, too, which made it even better.
Oh, one final note: each food item is Disney Dining Plan snack credit eligible here at Bauernmarkt. Now, how about something to wash it all down?
Drinks
I can’t imagine much of anything that goes better with cheese-topped pretzel bread than Apfelschaumwein. This returning Festival cocktail combines Apple Sparkling Wine and Apple Liqueur, and costs $10.75. We loved the sweet and classic apple flavor, and it reminded us of apple juice — but for adults!
All three beers are returning to Bauernmarkt this year, too: Gaffel Kolsch, Stiegl Brewery Raspberry Radler, and the Weihenstephaner Hefe Weissbier. These are each priced at $6 for a 6-ounce pour, or $9.75 for a 12-ounce pour. Of course, you can always partake of all three in the Beer Flight for $12.75. All three of these are lighter, German-style beers. The Gaffel Kolsch was light and refreshing with a crisp taste and not a lot of bitterness.
The Raspberry Radler was so drinkable and was raspberry-forward in the best way.
The Hefe Weissbier was the sharpest with a pleasant and mild burn at the end.
OVERALL
If pretzels and beer are your jam, we totally found your next booth. The pretzels were coated in warm cheese, and while we would probably skip the Potato Pancakes for a second pretzel, they both paired well with the beers, which provided a nice, light, and sharp taste.
That’s it for this booth, but there’s a LOT more where that came from!
