If you’re planning on going to Disneyland in 2026, you’re going to want to make note of these dates!

Sleeping Beauty Castle in Disneyland
We know Disneyland will be seeing a lot of temporary ride closures at the beginning of 2026. However, we’re happy to say that Disney has just updated us on when the rides are expected to reopen — and some of them are sooner than you may think! Let’s take a look at the dates to be aware of.
Mark Twain Riverboat
The Mark Twain Riverboat is closing for a refurb on January 12th. However, the refurb is going to be a short one, as it’s reopening just a few days later on January 16th! Given the short timeline, it seems like the work being done on the attraction is just regular maintenance to keep the ride running smoothly.

Haunted Mansion
We’re saying bye to Halloween Town as Haunted Mansion transitions back to its non-holiday self at the beginning of January. Haunted Mansion Holiday will close on January 11th and then reopen on January 23rd as the regular Haunted Mansion. We see this every single year, so it doesn’t come as a surprise. We’ll just be missing our happy haunts in what will feel like a long 12 days while the ride is down.

Inside Out Emotional Whirlwind
It’s time to make our way over to Disney California Adventure, because Inside Out Emotional Whirlwind will be closing on January 5th for its refurbishment. This refurbishment is longer than the other two, as it’s scheduled to reopen on January 23rd. There hasn’t been any notice of ride updates, so it’s most likely just regular maintenance work.

Incredicoaster
Lastly, the Incredicoaster will be closing on January 5th and having the longest refurbishment out of the four attractions. The attraction will reopen on February 6th. So, it’ll be a tad over a month of closure for one of the park’s most popular rides! We’ll be eagerly waiting for the ride during this time, but it’s good that Disney is working on it to make sure it continues to run properly.

We plan on going March 7th-10th with park hopper and lightening Lane. Our last visit was on Christmas in 2023. We cant wait to go again. Thank you for the updates.
Hopefully, they’ll make the Incredicoaster less annoying. It’s still a great coaster overall, but (if I wasn’t on a roller coaster anyway) it’d be an interesting drinking game to do a shot every time someone shouts “Jack-Jack!” Very irritating!
