It might be winter, but you can still have a good Disney water park day in Florida (although it has been a little chillier lately)!

Blizzard Beach has been closed for refurbishment for some time, but Disney has announced that it will reopen at Disney World soon. Of course, one comes in, and the other goes out. With Blizzard Beach reopening, Typhoon Lagoon will be closing — and we know when that is!

You’ve got a couple more months to catch the surf and get some serious splash in, because Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon will be closing on February 15th, 2026. The last day you’ll be able to experience the water park will be February 14th.

The water park will just become temporarily unavailable, as this is a routine refurbishment. That being said, Disney hasn’t announced a reopening date or even a timeline for when we can expect to take on the thrilling slides at the water park once again.

Right as Typhoon Lagoon closes, the snowy-themed water park will be opening. Disney announced that Blizzard Beach will reopen on February 15th, 2026 — the exact same day Typhoon Lagoon will no longer be available. So, at least there won’t be a period where we can’t catch Disney waves anywhere! Blizzard Beach will open just in time for the warm spring season, which is really nice.

While we’re on the topic of the water parks, Disney’s water park seasonal passes ARE BACK! Grab a pass for just $89 for adults and $83 for kids ages 3-9, and enjoy some water park fun. Just make sure you pay attention to when your trip is, as block-out dates occur from March 28th, 2026, through April 5th, 2026.

These new seasonal passes for the water parks have some new, extra special perks. You can get 20% off your cabana when you first arrive at the water park, as it is a walk-up deal only. This deal is offered at Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach!

To make the pass even more worth it, your seasonal pass will include one round of mini golf. You can visit either Winter Summerland Miniature Golf or Fantasia Gardens and Fairways Miniature Golf when you visit BEFORE 4 PM. You only get ONE round of golf included in your pass over the season.
