It is hard to believe that it is almost 2026! Where did the year go? There is A LOT to look forward to at Disney World in 2026, including the reopening of Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, the opening of Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster starring The Muppets, new animatronics on Frozen, a new Soarin’ Across America overlay, and more.

If you are planning on heading to Disney World in 2026, though, your Disney World hotel strategy might need to change. We want to make sure you get the most out of your trip, so consider these things when booking your trip!

Consider Split Stays

We know the economy is struggling right now, and Disney World is not a cheap vacation. If you want to stay on Disney World property while still saving as much money as possible, consider booking a Value resort, such as Disney’s Pop Century or one of the All-Star Resorts. However, if you have a bit more wiggle room in your budget, you can also consider a split stay.

Disney’s Beach Club

Spend a few nights at one of the nicer Disney World hotels, and then spend the rest of the nights at a Value resort. You can still save some money while also getting some time at one of Disney World’s Moderate or Deluxe hotels.

Take Advantage of the Priceline Hack

Not only can you search for deals on Disney World hotels on Priceline, but we also discovered a hack that could save you even more on a Disney World hotel. You can book hotels through hidden deals known as Express Deals. You can get some fantastic hotel deals, but the catch is that you won’t know the exact hotel until after you have paid. The room is non-refundable, and you can’t change the dates after booking. However, with a bit of extra detective work, you can get a pretty good idea of which hotel it might be. No guarantees, so make sure you are okay with possibly being at a hotel that is not a Disney World hotel.

Plan Accordingly for the Water Park Perk

Disney World debuted a brand-new perk for hotel guests in 2025: free water park tickets to use on your arrival day. This offer was a great way to spend your arrival day, and we are excited that the perk has been extended into 2026. However, a major change is coming to the perk. In 2025, it was available at any time, but in 2026, it will ONLY be available during the summer. 

Blizzard Beach

If this is a perk that your family was hoping to take advantage of, make sure you plan accordingly! Disney hasn’t released the exact dates for when the perk will be available. Currently, the website says to check back in 2026 for more details. We will be sure to update you as we learn more about the dates of this perk in 2026!

Grocery Delivery Is Changing

We loved using Kroger Delivery while we were staying at Disney World, but unfortunately, the delivery service will end in Central Florida as of February 1st, 2026. However, that doesn’t mean you won’t be able to get groceries delivered; it just means you’ll use a different service. We recommend checking out Amazon Fresh if you are getting groceries delivered!

Kroger Delivery

With Amazon Fresh, there is a $9.95 delivery fee under $50, a $6.95 fee over $50, and FREE delivery for orders over $100 for Amazon Prime members. If you are not an Amazon Prime member, there will be a delivery fee between $4.95-$13.95, depending on your basket size. The delivery fee does not include a tip for your delivery driver. You can find just about anything you would want, and Amazon Basics/Amazon Grocery brands offer some great prices! We spotted a gallon of milk for $2.77 and a dozen eggs for $2.99. The process will still be the same as with Kroger; the delivery will go to Bell Services, where they will keep the items cold if needed, and you can retrieve your order from there.
