When it comes to getting a margarita in Disney World, it’s kinda’ a no-brainer to visit the Mexico Pavilion, which is also why a lot of folks start their World Showcase journey in EPCOT in Mexico.
We get it, not only do you have La Cava del Tequila, often frequented by celebrities, but you can also get some pretty good margaritas at the other dining spots in Mexico, including La Cantina San Angel, which is now offering a new drink, a Churro Margarita, and we’re going to give you our honest thoughts about it.
The Churro Margarita is a frozen churro-flavored margarita served with warm churros for $18. Okay, so we’re already skeptical of churros in Disney World parks…they’re not always so great. Well, this drink kinda’ falls into that category. First up, if you love the taste of alcohol, you’ll love this drink.
However, that’s about all you’re going to taste. We didn’t get any churro flavors at all, just tequila. We even tried stirring it up good, thinking maybe that would help. Nope. It still tastes like tequila. Even the poor churros on the drink didn’t taste like churros…they had soaked up so much tequila that they only tasted like alcohol. Plus they were harder because of the cold drink. This just isn’t the way to serve up churros.
We did appreciate the coldness of the drink, and it had a nice thickness to it until it melted a little. We can’t really see someone spending $18 on a churro-flavored drink that doesn’t have that classic cinnamon-sugar churro flavor. However, if you want a strong drink, well, this fits the bill and packs a punch.

Welsh Review of La Cantina de San Angel. 9/22/24. We had a pair of Tacos de Barbacoa (16.50) and a pair of La Cantina Classica Margaritas (18.50). The drinks were excellent, and the tacos went into the garbage.
