REVIEW: There’s a NEW Celebrity Drink at EPCOT and We Have THOUGHTS

We are probably always going to be singing the praises of La Cava del Tequila in EPCOT, and we’re not the only ones. You see, celebrities love La Cava, too, so much that several have even created their own drinks for this popular bar.

The Standing Ovation

For example, La Cava’s Black Magic Margarita is Neil Patrick Harris’ drink. Then, you’ve also got The Lily, created by Lily Aldridge. Well, now, Jordan Fisher (yep, you may know him as the voice of Happily Ever After, but he also has some serious Broadway roles on his resume) has his own drink at La Cava, and we stopped by the bar to try it out.

Now, remember a few weeks ago when La Cava teased SOMETHING with Jordan Fisher? Well, now we know this is what they were teasing! The Standing Ovation, crafted by Fisher, is made with llegal añejo mezcal, Rittenhouse rye, vermouth, mole bitters for $20.

There it is on the menu!

You even get it in a glass with “JF” on the side (no, you can’t keep the glass, though). This is a drink that whiskey lovers are going to LOVE. It’s strong with a peppery and caramel taste, and then it hits you as a burn in the back of the throat and the nose. If you want a sweet drink, this is not it. We couldn’t really taste the mezcal because the other flavors overpower it. The mole bitters also add an additional spiciness. So, yeah, you’re going to have to love the taste of whiskey to appreciate this.

It’s VERY whiskey-forward

So, thanks for the new drink, Jordan! And all the memories (and tears) we have hearing “Ready to begin…” in Magic Kingdom every night.
