We finally know when we can expect to see changes at Frozen Ever After in EPCOT!
Disney previously revealed that the Anna, Elsa, and Kristoff animatronics will all be getting new updates — and we officially know when that will happen!
Disney has revealed that Frozen Ever After will temporarily close for refurbishment on January 26th, 2026, and reopen in February 2026 with updates to the Anna, Elsa, and Kristoff Audio-Animatronics figures!
At the time of the ride’s release, the animatronic figures were absolutely groundbreaking in the world of Audio-Animatronics. It wasn’t just big because this was the first-ever attraction themed to Frozen, but it was also the first attraction to have all-electric animatronic figures — combining electric motors and 3D printing. So, lots of firsts for the ride!
After ten years, the faces of the animatronics on Frozen Ever After at EPCOT will change from their projected look. The attraction will draw inspiration from the advancements seen in figures at World of Frozen in Hong Kong Disneyland, which are really incredible.
We can’t wait to check out these changes! We’ll be on the lookout for an official reopening date, so make sure you stay tuned to the Disney Food Blog for more!

Sounds incredible! I Know Florida fans were starting to get uptight after 3 different rides opened with prettier animatronics. I will say the old ones allow FAR more emotion (which is why they were used over the contemporaneous Belle animatronic from Tokyo) while these ones are frozen with one expression and need to rely a lot on facing away from the viewer at points (so they have to move around a lot more).
