Disney hasn’t been resting much lately, what with all the new lands coming to parks across the world, the release of Zootopia 2, all the hotel refurbishments going on, new technology being developed, and more.
Recently, Disney gave us a glimpse into what’s happening with the company and dropped some gigantic news bombs with opening dates, new animatronics, and more. So let’s take a closer look at those big announcements that Disney just dropped on us.
World of Frozen Opening Date
Disneyland Paris’ version of World of Frozen in Disney Adventure World now has an official opening date. Visitors to the park will be able to visit Arendelle as of March 29th, 2026. This land will be similar to the one we visited in Hong Kong Disneyland, and let’s just say…that one blew our minds.
The new land will feature Frozen Ever After, which is already in Hong Kong Disneyland, EPCOT, and Tokyo DisneySea.

Suprise! A New Olaf Animatronic is coming soon.
That’s not the only new Frozen thing coming to Disney Parks, though. Disney showed off a brand new, VERY impressive Olaf animatronic that will be free roaming around the Frozen Parks. Seriously, he looks and moves so real that we feel like we’ve stepped right into the movies.
He walks, he talks (and, yes, Josh Gad confirmed that you’ll be hearing HIS voice as the lovable snowman), and he can interact with people.

New Restaurants
Disney also shared the first details about restaurants coming to Disneyland Paris’ World of Frozen. Nordics Crown Tavern will be a quick-service restaurant open for lunch and dinner and will feature a customizable dining experience inspired by Nordic cuisine. Its decor will have galleries of paintings and royal artifacts that tell the story of Arendelle.
The Regal View Restaurant & Lounge will be a Princess character restaurant open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It will be “a refined atmosphere” inspired by Disney Princesses.
Disney is also bringing 14 new food and beverage locations along Adventure Way with a variety of food and drinks.

New Tangled Ride
Disney Adventure World will be getting a new Tangled-themed ride: Raiponce Tangled Spin. Disney also dropped a first look at the ride and the ride vehicles. We’ve been obsessing over the concept art, but this is the real deal!
We can’t wait to see this ride with our own eyes.

New Promenade
Disney Adventure World will also have a new promenade with themed gardens like the Tangled Garden or the Toy Story Garden, and live entertainment like “Rapunzel and Flynn’s Musical Encounter” and “Miguel’s Lantern Festival.”
You also get to meet characters here, including Mickey and Minnie sporting new Victorian costumes.

Disney Cascade of Lights
You’ll also get to watch Disney Cascade of Lights, a brand new nighttime show coming to Disney Adventure World.
The show will feature drones, pyrotechnics, choreographed fountains, and more.
Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run
We already knew some big changes were coming to Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run, including a new mission from The Mandalorian and Grogu film, but Disney just gave us a behind-the-scenes look at these changes. Not only will scenes from the ride look even better, but they will also be more interactive because they render graphics in real time, making the ride feel more realistic.
Disney has also improved the ride experience for every position on the ride, including the Engineer, who now gets to pick the destination.

Meta AI glasses in the parks
Disney also gave us a better idea of how using Meta’s AI Ray-Ban glasses would work in the parks. Disney stated, “The use of Ray-Ban Meta glasses in our parks will help guests to remain fully present, augmenting the park, rather than distracting from it.”
Disney even outlined how the glasses could show real-time information in the parks, as well as integrate into the park experience itself.

New Animatronics Tech
Perhaps the most exciting announcement involved new animatronics technology that Disney is working on. Okay, so we’ve already got a walking and talking Olaf, but what’s next? Disney mentioned that new animatronics can show emotion by blushing and crying. However, it also mentioned that this new technology is “especially transformative for characters who had traditionally challenging features to create, like Mike Wazowski, Lightning McQueen, or Hades.
Considering a new Monsters, Inc. land, as well as a Cars expansion and Villains Land, or coming to Disney World, these could be animatronic characters you’ll see in those parks.

Whew, that was a LOT. These are all exciting announcements that give fans something to look forward to. Stay tuned to DFB for more.

So nice to see some new stuff coming to the weakest of the foreign parks- Disneyland Paris is BEAUTIFUL but lacks so much of what makes a full park day. I was done after like 1.5 days in two parks, lol. The World of Frozen is HUGE and looks amazing. Looks like the series is as popular as ever.
