Yes, yes, we know…this is a Disney blog, but we also love other things, too. And let’s just say that we are BIG fans of Wicked. So can we talk about Wicked for a hot minute? We PROMISE we have a good reason.
Now, of course, we’ve already visited the updated Wicked: The Experience at Universal Orlando, where we enjoyed seeing some new additions. But we also recently got to tap into our inner Shiz University student to try some new Wicked snacks in Disney Springs. Yes, you read that right…there are Wicked snacks in Disney World!
You’ll find these new cookies at Summer House on the Lake (you know, the place with the COOKIE BAR). The first cookie is the Sparkle Sprinkle, which is a Raspberry Cheesecake-flavored cookie for $5.50. Of course, this cookie is covered in pink sparkly sprinkles…just like Glinda! It tastes just like raspberries and cream, y’all.
The cookie is soft, tender, and VERY sweet. The sprinkles add a nice texture, and of course, they make the cookie look pretty. Toss, toss!
The Emerald Spell Cookie is a Birthday Cake-flavored cookie for $5.5o. Of course, it’s covered in green sparkles to represent Elphaba. This cookie doesn’t “Defy Gravity,” and overall, it tasted pretty similar to a sugar cookie with a hint more vanilla. That’s probably because birthday cake and sugar cookie flavors are the same.
That’s sort of a weird choice for Elphaba, who is anything BUT vanilla. This cookie is more cakey on the inside, but it was still soft and sweet.
When it comes to this contest between Glinda and Elphaba, the Glinda-themed cookie wins hands down. If you’re a Wicked fan, though, you should just go ahead and try both. It’s worth it!
